Today I agreed to help J's school librarian order books for next year. I have a highly sticky-noted Perma-Bound catalog at home from which to enter books. While doing a few, the phone rings. It's 3:20pm and J's teacher is on the phone. She missed the bus. Now those who know her know she talks NON STOP. Seems she was talking and missed the call over the announcements that her bus was at school. Geez. Luckily hubby was out picking up the trees we bought and could swing by and get her.
Then on to dinner prep. Quiche was on the menu, but my memory told me it took 45 minutes to bake. Well, that was after you thawed and prebaked the crusts. With piano lessons this evening that was a no go. Pancakes and eggs it is.
S tried to come to the dinner table sans pants and undies so we had to remedy that because I refuse to eat with nudists.
J spilled syrup on the table which proceeded to run directly between the leaf and the rest of the table. Dinner clean up just got more complicated. Then when emptying the dishwasher, I discover that soap must have been omitted. So rerun.
I promised slurpees for dessert. G got a hold of hers and slopped it.
Our deacon's wife who makes the prosphora for church called and threw her back out. While I took J to piano with the two little ones, hubby makes prosphora. Our family volunteered for coffee hour Sunday and cheesecake is on the menu. I only have one spring form pan so we made one tonight and will make the other tomorrow. Hubby is bottling his Lenten brew to be ready for Pascha so onto that.
Did I mention I need to mop?

Oh my! I can totally picture this scene. And just think--you don't get paid and you actually volunteered for this job? Remember all of the fond thoughts of "when we have children"? Ha ha ha
