Christmas

Merry Christmas to one and all!

Everything is fine here at our house. We're tired, but doing well.

Why are you tired you ask?

We made a road trip to Dallas to visit family and friends. This included a birthday dinner with my sister, two cookie decorating sessions, CiCis Pizza with some long time friends, Chuck E. Cheese with Meemaw and Pawpa Charlie, Happy Feet with Maw, and Christmas gifts followed by dinner with Maw, Pawpa, Great Aunt Rosella, Great Uncle Doug, Aunt Keri, Uncle Bennie, cousins Bryce and Brady, Uncle Alan and Aunt Lizzie.

We returned just in time for Nativity services at church. Great Vespers Saturday. Divine Liturgy on Sunday morning followed by coffee hour and Vespers for Nativity. After a short break at home, we had a carol sing with refreshments followed by Compline and Matins for Nativity. Monday morning we celebrated Divine Liturgy with two baptisms.

We then feasted on Christmas Day at some friends' home on two fried turkeys, ham, brisket, smoked salmon, caviar, dirty rice, stuffing, rolls, blue cheese/walnut/grape salad, jello, pumpkin pie, pecan pie and german chocolate pie.

This week I hope to overwhelm with you photos from our week. I'll start with this one of cookie decorating with our good friends, the Broadways. G had a blast!
